Do not book Business Class simply because a travel article makes it sound mandatory. The practical question is whether the specific train, time of day and budget make the additional space or service worthwhile for you. 5. Ottawa Station is not downtown—plan the final 4 km
VIA Rail lists Ottawa Station at 200 Tremblay Road, about 4 km from the downtown core. That is close enough for a straightforward final leg, but it is not a station where most visitors should simply expect to walk to Parliament with luggage. Choose your last connection before the train arrives.
