We want each guide to be useful before you leave home and recognizable when you arrive. These are the standards we use to turn a trip into a published Ontario Local Trips guide.

Current facts checked against official sources
Practical details can change. Before publication, we check details such as opening hours, admission fees, reservations, parking rules, trail access, transit service, and seasonal closures against the most relevant official source, such as the destination operator, municipality, conservation authority, park, or transit agency. We include official planning links when they help, and readers should check them again shortly before travelling.
Multilingual review and corrections
Every localized guide begins with the same reporting and source material as the English edition. Translation tools may assist with a first draft. Automated checks compare links, language metadata, place names, measurements, prices, safety notes, and other travel-critical details; editorial spot checks then correct awkward or misleading wording as pages are updated.
